Hi team,
We have CRM Sales and Business Central integrated, currently, there are product bundles in CRM created as non-stock products (usually Contracts). We have read that the recommended approach to represent bundles in Business Central is using Assembly Items and add the items in the BOM. However, non-inventory items can't be assembly items with a BOM, and if we create the item as inventory we'll have to set a huge quantity in one of the warehouse to be able to post the invoices. Could you please advise? We can't find the best approach to represent the non-inventory items bundles.
Thanks,
Hi, Bilal is right, non-inventory items are not supported in Assembly Bom.
You can consider directly adding G/L Account or Item Charge when shipping.
In BC22, there is a really cool new feature. More details: https://yzhums.com/35633/
The disadvantage is that since there is no Bom, you need to manually add these every time
Hope this helps.
Thanks
ZHU
Hi,
In Business Central we cannot have Non Inventory Item as Assembly output, so that is why Non Inventory items cannot have an Assemly BOM.
May be somebody can give a better suggestion but as per my knowledge you can create an Inventory item with all Non Inventory Items in BOM and use it.
