How does Management Reporter update accounts from the report wizard

I have a new company install that is going to use management reporter.  There is not functional currency defined?  Does that need to be setup?

The accounts in GP won't pull down to GP.  I logged in to Management reporter as sa.  The user listed in security is the domain user I created in setup, which has full access to GP.

Only one Account is showing in the list from the chart of Accounts.  It is a valid Account.

Any Ideas?

    George,

Functional currencies are not required if you are the most recent update (Feature Pack 1) of Management Reporter.

I am not sure why you are just seeing one account. Can you follow these steps and let me know the results?

    1. Tools | Setup | Company | Account Format in GP. Please write what Segments you have, and the length of each.

    2. Write what the Main Segment ID is.

    3. Cards | Financial | Account. Write two accounts with the account and description fields (the one that shows in MR, and another that does not).

    4. Tools | Setup | Company | Company. Write the Company ID of the company you are logged into.

    5.  In MR go to Company | Companies. Click on your GP company and select Modify. Click Settings.

Enter the SA user ID and password, and select DYNAMICS for the GP System Database and click Load. Click Next.

For the Select a company step, be sure that you are selecting the company from step #4 above. If there are multiple companies with the same name, or a test company this could be your problem.

    6. On the next step verify Dynamics GP Financials is selected. Click Finish.

    7. Open a new Row Definition and click into LInk to Financial Dimensions.

    Write what you see here (i.e. Segment1, Segment2, Segment3).

Click into each Segment and write out one of the values you see in the drop down.

Sorry for all of the steps, but one of these items should explain if you are connected to a wrong company, or if your main segment is not set to account.

    Thanks

    Ryan
