AX2012 Batch Attributes do not update with finished Quality Order

 Hi,

we need some help here please!

Batch Attributes do not update with finished Quality Order

  1. Coil Received with Auto Created Batch No.
  2. Quality Order created and User Enters (this assumes it will be possible to enter string values for test results as Heat, this would be a separate/next issue)
    1. Gauge
    2. Grade
    3. Heat
    4. Etc. etc.
  3. User Validates / Passes Quality Order
  4. Batch Attributes get updated

Step 5 fails … I am wondering if we do something wrong /Setup. Please see the error and process below:

 

Test Groups are configured to "update inventory batch attributes)

 Inventory Batch Attributes for the inventory Batch 0000008 have not been updated. Attribute value for Gauge on the inventory batch 000000008 exists.

    Confusing...  but my fault:

    If you want to feedback test results into the batch attributes the system does not use the field "Test Result". You need to populate "Batch Attribute Value" aaand flag "Override".

    Now...it would be cool if you could associate String values and not only enums....

    Hi Kim,

    Note that if you assign a value in the Test value determination field (except manually), it won't be necessary to manually mark the field override and insert the value.
