Business Central on cloud - is there a restriction or recommendation around the number of transactions allowed without losing performance ?

Hi Everybody,

I'm referring in particular to journal import and posting activities.

Just to throw a number: around 20 million transactions per year.

Is there any recommended threshold or any restriction in managing this amounts of transactions with BC on cloud ?

In terms of performance and usability ?

Thank you very much for any help

There's no a written rule regarding number of transactions. In the SaaS environment Microsoft is responsible to handle scalability and performances of your tenant, so you should not worry about that.

You mention IMPORT: if you mean that you want to import from an external application 20 millions of transaction per year, I suggest to not use internal import tools (like Rapidstart) but implement your custom import tool via web services or APIs.
