Server Side Sync Error: Exchange sync worker for the mailbox is failed/terminated

Hi,

I configured Server Side Sync on a CRM 2013 UR1 (on-premise) system with Exchange 2010 to use the synchronization of contacts, tasks and appointments. Some mailboxes are working fine. But especially the mailbox of the CEO is crashing during the test. The Server trace shows the following error: "Exchange sync worker for the mailbox is failed/terminated: GUID Exception details : Unhandled Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object Reference was not set to an Instance of an Object"

I entered the credential of a special sync user in the server profile config, that has impersonation rights on the Exchange Server. Like I said, it's working with some other mailboxes.

Has anyone an idea what's the problem?

Thanks

    Hello,

This is a recently discovered issue. This is same if we use Exchange 2013 instead of Exchange 2010. It is expected to be fixed by UR 2 - CRM 2013.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns regarding the same.

    Thank You !

    Hi,

UPDATE: the error is still existing after the installation of UR2.

    Any ideas what to do?

    Hi,

I'm also expericening this error on a mailbox. After setting up a new crm database (tenant) testing the mailbox succeed on an existing mailbox account.

After having the feeling that contacts and tasks are NOT syncronised I tested the setup again an now the contacts and task are failing.

CRM 2013, Exchange 2013 both current CU / SP.

    Thanks Bernhard

    Hi,

my problem is not solved completely. Contacts and tasks are now synchronized correctly.

But appointments are only from Outlook to CRM but not the other way around.

Any idea why this is happening?

    Thanks

    Steffen

    Hi,

it's working now. I didn't know that I had to configure the SP 1 Update manually due to the Settings Area. So after that activation of the updates the synchronization is working.
