Does anyone know the status of this issue?

I'm having exactly the same issue. I followed his link to the Connect page, and it said that the issue appeared to be a support issue and not a suggestion. I don't quite understand what they mean by a support issue. If the program doesn't add the returns in, it doesn't add them in.
We're using GP2010, but upgrading to GP2013 soon. Does anyone know if this has been resolved in 2013?
