
Help ... we recently deployed CRM 4.0 and the following Sync issue was encountered:
a/ User selects record from CRM to sync to local Outlook
b/ Voila - contact appears in Outlook with icon
c/ User accidentally deletes the contact in Outlook
d/ No way to re-sync (i.e., tried to remove all Local Data settings and re-sync to no avail)
Dum low-tech way : vcard from CRM back to Outlook, create the duplicate contact, Track in CRM - merge duplicate

I have the same question (0)Hi ACL,
I had the same problem and I only find one solution that had revolved my problem. The Solution is run another time the configuration wizzard. Once you run again the wizzard configuration the deleted contacts appears again in your Outlook.
You can find the configuration Wizzard in:
Start --> Programs --> Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 --> Config Wizzard
