error after running tx.cab

Posted on by 330

I installed the Nov 30th tx.cab on Dynamics GP version 11.2044 and after getting the pop up window tax updates have been applied successfully and clicking finish, I received an error : Unhandled script exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. An error occurred creating the form. See exception Inner Exception for details. The error is: Class not registered(Exception from HRESULT:0X80040514(REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)

If I click continue, it brings me back to the Tax updates have been applied successfully screen and I cannot get out of that screen. The tax tables appear to have installed successfully. My last tax update is 11/30/12.

has anyone encountered this?

Did you run the tax update on the server or a workstation? Did you run it as 'sa' or just a regular GP user? I have not seen this message before and I do not think it is GP specific. Did you also run in the lastest tax code update at the same time?
