    Hi Waed,

This requirement is not possible to achieve without an extensive and cumbersome customization. The dimensions and values are global. When choosing values, the Dynamics 365 logic will validate it against the accounting structures and ledger setup. At that time, combinations of used values will be stored in several dimension runtime tables. Before that, there is no table which is exactly storing the possible values per legal entity.

As alternative, you can create a template per legal entity and use Excel cell validations for allowed values.

    Hi Waed,

You can refer to the below blog for customizing the open in excel options and adding filtering.

    Thanks,
    Girish S.

    Hi Andre,
What about General ledger > Chart of accounts > Dimensions > Financial dimensions > Dimension values >Legal entity overrides. Can we use suspended field to filter values that are returned based on the Legal entity.

    Hi Waed,

The Suspended field is in the standard application not considered in the Entity for a lookup in Excel.

    Hi Andre,

I want when I open template by Excel to get each dimension values like cost Center, Business Unit and choose from it. Also I don't want to show suspended values based on legal entity.

    HI Waed,

Dimensions and their values are global data, not bound to a company. The company context is setup via account structures, linked to the Ledger for a legal entity. The lookup in the Excel connector opens another data entity without knowing the ledger context.
Not sure if you can override the entity which is used today for the lookup. Anyway, it would require quite some development.

    Hi Andre,

Thank you for your usual support. Would you please give me more information. Do you mean by entity of Lookup for Excel Connector "DimensionSetEntity."?
