Hi everyone, I am an intern and I have access to LCS and to the VMs files, before I start downloading them and setting my computer as a local host to practice X++ even more outside of the company premise (since they have an hourly cloud subscription) I wanted to know if downloading, installing and working on it is free or it will cause the company a fee to be paidThanks in advance.
Hi Fares,
If you are downloading VHD and hosting it locally, no charges would be incurred.
However you need to have a Visual Studio license in order to use Visual Studio. VS on the VM will stop working in 30 days without a license. But, there are no surprise fees or costs from downloading the VHD.
Thanks everyone,
one last question, does it require my email (the one provided by my host company) to log in (I want to install it after my internship ends and I don't know if I could if my the email provided by the company get cancelled or my rights on the LCS got revoked)
You are only allowed to use it with such O365 credentials that belong to a tenant that has D365FO licenses.
Regarding visual studio license you can get up to 90 days trail if you sign up for visual stdio dev essentials . Once you log in to below link with your email sign up for that and you should get 90 days trial.

After your internship is over , off course if your company email is inactive you wont be able to access LCS or cloud hosted environment.
