Management Reporter published reports being overwritten on Sharepoint

Has anyone ran into the issue where a report published in SharePoint is being overwritten by the same report inadvertently?

We are publishing reports to SP and then rerunning the same report with no link chosen as we do not want to publish the newer report.

The newer report is overwriting the old report in SP.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chuck

    Hi Chuck,

The report in SharePoint is only a link back to the actual report in MR.  When you generate the report again, you're updating the source report that the link in SharePoint is tied to.  So even though you didn't publish a new link, you've create a new report that the link is pointed to.  If you don't want the link in SharePoint to point back to the newly generated report, you'd need to change the library location of the report.  For example, if the report was first generated and published with a library location of Library, you could generate the report a second time and change the location to Library\March.  You can do this on the Output and Distribution tab in the report definition.  Your link in SharePoint would be pointed to the report in Library, while the new report would be in Library\March.
