Good Day,

I created a Rating Model with six levels as part of a Measurement to be used within a Goal.

I now want to delete one of the levels, but I get the error "Levels cannot be deleted while dependent HcmMeasurementDetail exist. Delete dependent HcmMeasurementDetail and try again."

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Regards,

SA

    Hi Stephen,

As error says, you have dependency on measurement details. Could you please delete measurement details related to rating model first?

    Hi Parag,

Thank you for your attention and willingness to assist.

I have already deleted the associated Measurement (and Goal) that I initially tested the Rating Model with, but the message persists.

I was able to view the HcmMeasurementDetails table (using the Table Browser Caller for D365 F&O), and I can see the entries I would like to delete.

However, deleting from there is not possible because this is a Tier 2 Sandbox environment.

Is there a way forward that you are aware of?

    Regards,

    Stephen

    Hi Stephen,

you can use excel workbook designer, find that entity and delete the entries.

If you search for excel workbook designer in search box then you can find the form.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Parag,

I have also tried the Excel Workbook Designer, but it gives the same error when I try to delete the entries.

    Stephen

    Hi,

Did you try to delete the data for measurement table using excel workbook designer and getting the error?

    Hi Parag,

I tried to delete from "RatingLevel" using the Workbook Designer.

As you probably know: Levels are part of Rating Models, which in turn are used by Measurements, which in turn are used within Goals.

    1. I have already deleted all Goals.

    2. I have already deleted the Measurement which originally made use of the Rating Model in question.

    3. If I try to delete the Rating Model, I get "Rating models cannot be deleted while dependent Levels exist. Delete dependent Levels and try again."

    4. I have therefore been trying to delete the Level(s).

    Fun, right?!

    Regards,

    Stephen
