Open in new tab does not work

I'm convinced that, when using BC on Edge, I used to be able to right click on a link and use Open in New Tab. If I do it now I just get a blank tab.
 
Why does this not work any more?

    Open in new tab does not work
    If you are referring to fields such as Flowfield, right-clicking Open Link in new tab is not the expected operation of BC. This will show about:blank#blocked in both Chrome and Edge.
