RE: Reoccuring Charge to customers Credit Card
I just wanted to update that we did switch to Paypros and are using their IPad (different than an Apple iPad) integration to access credit card information for customers on recurring payments. So far it has worked very well, and it truly was the only add-on we could find that would do this. They beat our credit card rates as well, which were already very good. We are still working through a couple hiccups (we may have gotten this fixed now but it wasn't pulling address data in on credit cards kept on file, resulting in higher credit card charges, and it won't require signatures through the ipad on account charges, resulting in having to keep the hard copies). Overall they seem to know what they are doing and were able to get it installed without too much trouble. They are very helpful on the phone when you have questions too.
We also paid New West, who created the technology behind the ipad system, to customize an html screen at the top of our POS stations that will say if the customer has a card on file and the last four digits, (along with their open balance and a couple other things). It makes it much easier for our service manager when scheduling service as we require cards to be kept on file. She can just look at the main screen while making out the work order.
