SOP10200.CMPNTSEQ

Good day all,

Would anyone know what this field is used for and how it gets populated and the meaning of the values it can contain?

Also, In manufacturing is the SOP link table IS010001 that also contains the CMPNTSEQ.  Would anyone know why that value might be different than the SOP10200.CMPNTSEQ value?

Thank you,
James

Good day Joseph and I sincerely appreciate your reply!  I thought it had to do with Kits/components when I researched but wasn't entirely certain about that or how or in what way.

From what Ive found oline = SOP10200 CMPNTSEQ is 0 for the kit itself and another number not 0 for components?  Some reason on a few IS010001 records for sales orders Im seeing SOP10200.CMPNTSEQ = 0 and IS010001.CMPNTSEQ = 1 and no real idea how or why.
That said Im confused why the ITEMTYPE in IV00101 for the item would be 1 (sales inventory) and not Kit?  If being sold as type 'kit' shouldnt the Item Type value on the IV00101 table reflect that?

The customer I'm with has numerous addons for GP and customization so finding how/what could be assigning a different CMPNTSEQ from SOP10200 to IS010001 is going to be a chore lol.  I just wanted to make sure my assumptions however that they probably ought to be the same was correct?

They have willoware mfg powerpack, mo generator, willloware gp power pack, customizations as a few.

    Anyhow, thank you very much!
    Good day,
    James

    Hi James!

As far as I know, the CMPNTSEQ field in SOP10200 (and SOP30300) is for the components of kit items.

Is there any kind of add-on or customization running for manufacturing that is changing the logic of the MO-sales line item link?

    Thanks,
    Joe
