How to add new item lines to pick list

Hi All

If an inventory or warehouse pick list is issued to the warehouse , there is no way to record additional items. Business case is something like :
When picking is completed pallets or boxes are recorded to pack items and these are inventory items that need recording and until the pick is completed the number of packing material used is unknown and sometimes different material is used vs standard packing item. Another example is labels and actual labels would be more than due to misprints

What about having the ability to log a set of item journal entries via the pick? You could define a set batch and even scale the page back so the user merely scans the item numbers and you set in code that it’s a negative adjustment or sale - using the same document number as the pick too. Are these consumables costs that should be passed on? Or are they factored into the price of the goods being sold? This method seems less intrusive than being able to add new lines to the pick.
