How to create a number sequence exclusively for counting journal in ax 2012

Hi all,

Wanna create a new number sequence exclusively for counting journal, but can't see in references an option that fits for counting journal.

Hello Richardson,

You can create a new number sequence that has a continuous number sequence setup configured and link it to your created counting journal.

Doing that allows you having a single voucher number series for your journal.

There is no specific reference that you need to select from.

Thanks a lot 4 ur response. How can I link the new number sequence to my counting journal?

I have a number sequence that is shared with another types of inventory journal, but I wanna create another one and make this one, unique for counting journals.

There is a detail that I didn't mention earlier. The number sequence that I want to configure is for counting journal voucher and not for journal id. We already have a sequence for this purpose, but it is a shared number sequence, and cause of this, we have conflicts of voucher numeration. That's why I need a specific one for counting journal voucher.

Hello Richardson,

Simply create a new number sequence in the OrgAdmin module.

Once that is done, select it in your counting journal.

The next two screenprints illustrate that process.
