Change Based Alerts not triggering.

Hello,

I've built an automation to receive alerts for field updates on Vendor records. The automation (triggered by Alert type Business Event) was running successfully in testing until last Tuesday. Since then, the automation has not been triggered and alerts have not triggered notifications in D365 either. I've checked and the Batch for Change Based Alerts is still at Waiting and running every 2 minutes. Any suggestions?

Not sure if it is pertinent or not, but batch /SysSetupInstaller: 1035274 - AifChangeTrackingConfigurationSetup/ ran the night that the trigger stopped working.

Thanks for any help!

Please check on the alert rule for which table the alters have been created. Is the field updated belong to this table or the other one?

    Regards,

    Hi,
Based on your description, you can refer to the following suggestions:
You can check the Infolog for task Change based alerts processing task to see if there are details related to this.
Since you mentioned that the change-based alert batch job is in a "waiting" state, consider restarting or rescheduling the batch job to see if that resolves the issue.
If that doesn't work, try triggering the alert manually or by another method to see if it's a general issue or one specific to the automated process.
    Best Regards,
    Hana

    Hi Dakota,

If this is an issue in your production environment, you can try to restart the services or contact Microsoft Support if from your end nothing got changed.
