Issues reducing qty on partially delivered sales order line

Posted on by 5

Hi forum!

I have discovered an issue recently that I just can't find any explanation for...

I have an Intercompany sales order, (partially delivered/invoiced 5 out of 6pcs) where I would like to reduce the remaining line qty OR remove the deliver remainder. None of this works though. When trying to cancel the del. remainder I get the following error message:

When trying to reduce the line qty from 6 to 5pcs I get this error message:

I can't think of any other solution than to deliver/invoice the last tyem and then crediting the customer said item.... Far from optimal process but the order seems to me to be stuck where it is.

There is currently 1 item reserved ordered to this SO. I get the same result regarding of reservation status.

Has anyone come across this or something similar before and have a solution?

Thanks

/Oskar

    Hi Oskar,

I'm out of options.... I would advice to post the invoice and create a credit invoice.

    Hi Laurens,

Sadly no, I have removed all markings, but no luck in changing the deliver remainder.

    Hi Oskar,

One other attempt, is there a marking between the orders? If yes, can you try to remove the marking?

    Laurens

    Hi Oskar,

One other suggestion. Does the deliver now still contain a quantity?

    Hi Laurens,

The new PO has already been processed at the originating end, thus the deliver remainder cannot be changed...

    But I appreciate the idea!

    Thanks

    Hi Oskar,

If you try to remove the delivery remainder of the new PO, and then try to remove the delivery remainder on the SO, will that work?

    Laurens

    Hi Otto,

Unfortunately not, the crediting option still remains the least bad option at the moment.

Hi Laurens and thank you for your reply!

The original PO has already been registered/invoice, (the item has been used for another order). A new PO has been placed to fulfill the requirement on this order which has not been registered yet. Either way, I can remove the deliver remainder of the new PO but it doesn't solve the issue with the remainder on the SO. I am still getting the same errors when trying to reduce Del. remainder or reducing line qty.
