We have the Security Console running at this point, I see my user name in the Role Assignments - I am the Administrator.  When we click on Policy - it kicks out this error.

I could not find anything (quick search) on Policies not populating - anyone have a suggestion?

    Any one have any idea.

Well we have fixed the issue with the Dynamics Security Console.  We now get the snap in to appear, however we are not getting the Policy Node to populate.  We are getting an error -

'The application encountered an unhandled system exception. Contact your system admin for details'

Well, that system admin is me - we have uninstalled the Web Services from the system, we have removed the WS tables from all the installed company databases and verified afterwards in SQL that there were no WS tables in the system databases.

We completed a reinstallation and the WS tables are now back, with 'refreshed dates' as seen in SQL Server.

Still when we go to the Dynamics Security Console, the Policy Node generates the same error.

    What are we missing?

    What fun and joy.

Finally was able to figure out that one of TEST companies that no one has been using in the PRODUCTION system - but one that was copied over to the UAT did not have all the correct security settings for all the users.

When we looked at the Web Services Exception snap-in as well as the Dynamics Security Console, we learned that the WebClient (created for access) did not have proper authority to see one company - one out of eight .

Once the WebClient had access to the company in the Login window, this resolved the access to the Policy Node.

Now we are able to see the Policy Node and now we can continue working on the installation and getting the Web Client up and running.

I can't get the console running at all. At what point do you need to apply a Certificate to IIS? Why would IIS need a cert if 2015 Services are self hosted and where would you do this? I can't find any docs...

Are you trying to expose Web Services to HTTPS using a SSL certificate? If so, I would highly recommend the following blog:

***Updated***Web Services: Steps to change Web Services address from http to https in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 and later

Otherwise, we don't need a certificate normally for Web Services, so I'm thinking this blog is what you're looking for.

    Thanks,
