Sync Purchase Order between Field Service and BC using Dataverse

Hi there,

I'm trying to create a Purchase Order in BC, then sync to D365 Field Service module.  We checked some DataVerse documents, seems there's no standard sync template we can use.

Is there some recommended way that we can do this? Thanks.

-Regards,

Aaron

Thank you very much Shinichi san for the help!

Sorry, I actually want to ask is about Purchase Order synchronization between D365 Field services (not Sales, sorry :< ) and BC...

Just as you mentioned, virtual entities would be a great idea. But I'm still checking if there's an out-of-box solution that is easier to carry out.

A link I found for Purchase Order in D365 Field Service.

RE: Sync Purchase Order between Sales and BC using Dataverse

    Hi,

My understanding is that D365 Sales is a product for the sales department and does not include purchasing functionality.
I also could not find any mention of purchasing functionality in D365Sales in Docs or Microsoft Learn.
I searched the Dataverse tables for the keywords 'Customer' and 'Sales' and found a number of tables, but when I searched for 'Vendor' and 'Purchase' there were zero results.

    What is the requirement?
Do you want to tie the cost of a purchase order to a sales quote or sales order?
Or do you simply want to enter the purchase order in a PowerApps app using D365Sales or Dataverse to generate a purchase order in D365BC?
If it's the latter, I've come up with two ways to do this.
The first is to create a custom table in Dataverse and set up an integration between BC and Dataverse (or D365Sales).
The second is to use virtual entities. In this case, the table will only exist in BC and the PowerApps app needs to be created on the Dataverse side.

I hope this is helpful to you.
