Primary key does not show up in smartlist Builder, why?

Posted on by 170

When we build custom smartlist, we need to specify primary key fields, otherwize, we may run into error  "key fields have not been set" or just pass empty value to script procedure(if you use "Execute procedure" option in smartlist builder, error will be:   call myProcedure ,,,,,;    ).

However, in smartlist Builder, when I add  table "Year to Date  transaction  open (GL20000)"  following option    "Microsoft Dynamics GP table",  I have no way to add primary key (DEX_ROW_ID)  in key fields list. Because in dropdown list,    this  primary key field doesnot show up.  Why? it is by design?  I really don't want to see GP as 'Great Pain'.

Without this primary key field, how smartlist can locate row?

Any one can give hint?   or I can further explain my scenario.

Thanks,
