I need to set up benefits to track ACA. I know I can set up the benefit in HR and it will roll to payroll. I don't want any GL effect for the benefit, but if I zero the employer cost for the benefit how will I get the value to show on the W2? Thanks!

    For the benefit of the community that does not work in US can you explain (briefly) what ACA is?

    From reading the post, I am wondering how you have an employee benefit that does not have a GL impact?  If the employee gets some monetary value, does there not have to be an offsetting cost to the employer?

    Just the ramblings of a Canadian on a Friday afternoon.

    ACA stands for Affordable Care Act, which is more widely known as Obama Care, to use the vernacular. It might be helpful to point out the specific benefit and provision of the ACA you are wrestling with.
