    Hi Ian,

Please feel free to take a look at Liaison Messenger EDD, www.liaisonsc.com

Messenger EDD automates business form and report distribution and uses your existing GP reports. The end user selects either a batch or a single Invoice through your normal print process in Dynamics GP but now uses our Messenger EDD print driver and Messenger will then distribute the Invoices based on rules you set up at initial configuration.

For example, through the single print selection:

    - Distribute Invoices to the customers preference (print, fax, or email) if email, it attaches a PDF

    - Archive a copy to desired folder

    - Print a hard copy to attach to other paperwork

    - Attach a static attachment like terms and conditions or a marketing PDF

    - PDF creation is included with the product.

Set up similar rules for Sales Orders, PO's, Statements or even shipping documents like Packing Slips, Picking Tickets, Bills of Lading and International docs.

Please reach me at tom@liaisonsc.com or 714.543.9877x201 if you have any questions or would like to view an on-line demonstration.

    Best Regards,

    Tom Nielsen

    Hi Ian,

Make sure you take a look at Accountable's Forms Printer product.  I have used Forms Printer for many implementations and the support from Accountable has been great.

Not only does Forms Printer allow the emailing of various GP documents, it can also leverage Crystal Reports and SQL Reporting Services as the underlying reporting engines, moving the product away from Report Writer and Word Forms.  In my opinion, this make customization much easier due to the features available in those reporting tools that seem somewhat limited with standard out of the box options.

If its the "best", that's pretty hard to determine without full requirements, but I can tell you that it is the first product I usually think of the the requirements start getting away from the standard out of the box features available.

Contact Greg Creamer <gregcreamer@liaisonsc.com> for Liaison Software. I have used this and I highly recommend it.

Ian, to answer your question, yes, it's a good solution that we've had success with a few times.  We just had our big annual client event last week, and Liason was one of the vendor/sponsors.  The gentleman representing Liason was Tom Nielsen, his email is tom (at) liaisonsc (dot) com.

    Take care, and good luck.

    Ron

Hi Richard and Ron , FYI I made contact with both your suggestions yesterday. I mentioned your company names as the referrer to each.

Best regards and thanks for the info.

Re: Re: emailing invoices / statements

DocuFire is a third party that works with GP as a printer driver.  You print documents (invoices, statements, orders, quotes, etc) to the DocuFire "Printer" and it looks up the client, determines if the client wants to have documents emailed, faxed, or printed and routes the document as desited (using PDF attachments for emails without Acrobat).

Works today....does not require double formatting of documents like the V11 patch will.

    hi ian,

in GP10 emailing statements you need to have accrobat writer. but GP10 doesnt have full emailing functionality of sending out invoices similar to statements even using accrobat. we are using active fax to email/fax practically any report.

Hey Ron, good to hear from you. The Hanleys...An ancient Irish sect (roughly a family group ruled by a Ri (Pronounced Ree and translates a King or Chieftain)) originally from county Roscommon and known for their prowess with a bow and arrow! Get on over here...we could do with the tourist income at the moment!!

Thanks for the post. Yes, I was aware of the extra functionality in V11 to do with emailing docs. How do you find the Liason Messenger? I presume you think its a good tool if you have used it a few times.

Will the additionalfunctionlity in V11 cater for statements / EFT remittances / Cheque run remittances / invoices / Purchase orders etc...or is it just limited to invoices?

How long does it take to deploy Liason Messenger? Can it be configured out of the box by a novice to the product (i.e. ..me).

Do you know if I can download an evaluation version anywhere?
