Tier-1 Environment restrictions and limitations for third party software

Hello everyone,

Are there any limitations for installing 3rd party software on Tier-1 Systems (for example anti-virus software) or it can be considered as typical Windows Server in that matter?

I'll appreciate any end user license agreements links or links to microsoft docs.

Hello,

There are no limitation as you have the system administrator role.

Hi, thanks for answer.

That's what i was thinking. Anyway, are there any relevant documentation about management of the tier 1 environment - especially windows server?

By management i mean any user-agreement based law restrictions regarding installation of any software or similar actions.

If not then i'll consider this topic as solved.

Well, there is no official documentation on what to and not to install on your tier1 VM, however, some clients do monitor the VM from their Azure portal and do flag some vulnerabilities, which mostly are relating to Microsoft updates.
