Dynamic Export of list to Excel

I would like to export an bunch of saved Dynamics list with decent filtering to Excel.
Ok sp no Dashboard option available, so every single list.

This list changes in the data that is stored, as well as the data in the entries and the number of “rows” themselves.
This is input data for a PowerBi (views and rights management can be better realized)

I am currently deliberately using the "Excel dynamic sheet export" from Dyn.
The export also works and can be updated in Excel without an error message.
However, the number of entries does not change.

My current assumption is that maybe the update in Excel only compares the existing entries (via hash value?) with the existing “rows”.
However, the list always remains the same length.
In Dynamics, however, it is dynamic.

I just need a complete sync of the list from the Dyn.
What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: Maybe to Add some information:

Yes direct connection with Dataverserse would be nice. Absolutly correct.
But dynamically accessing a group-wide database is usually limited company-wide. Unfortunately, this answer is therefore not a solution as a starting point.

The Dataverse connector will only return records that you have access to, and only to environments where you have been added. In that way, the security is exactly the same as exporting from excel would be. The connector in-and-of itself does not grant any permissions or access that are not already assigned to a user.

Depending on your report, this can be refined further.
    • If you store data in an import mode, then the records available will be whatever the person who created the connection can access. This is similar to someone exporting a view from the system and placing it onto a shared drive
    • If you use Direct Query mode, every user of the report has to put in their own credentials and the system queries using that information. This means that users can only see the information that they have access to from CRM

I know every organization is different in their policies and requirements. This link contains more information on the Dynamic Export from CRM that may help.

It is important to note it is dependent on the CRM for Outlook plugin to authenticate your connection, which is the older Outlook connection tool (Install Dynamics 365 for Outlook | Microsoft Learn). Good luck!

If this is going into PowerBI, I would strongly recommend using the Dataverse connector instead of going from CRM > Local Excel > PowerBI. The Dataverse connector will be significantly faster and more dependable than any kind of export will be. You also run the risk in exports of being limited to 5,000 records, which is not an issue with Dataverse connector into PowerBI.

The Dynamic sheets, for me, have always been finnicky and I would hesitate to use them or recommend them for anyone doing business reporting or actions.
