AX2012 - Worklow - Enabling or disabling an approval's outcome

Hello,

So far, when I enable or disable a particular outcome for a workflow "approval", the only way I have found for the change to take effect fully has been : Import a new instance of the workflow.

Otherwise, the "Action" will still be displayed (or hidden) when using the"Action" from the workflow controls.  Also, a newly disabled action will still be clickable, but will generate an error if you do.

Does anyone know how else I can get my changes to take effect?

Things I have tried and didn't help with refreshing the list of my approval item's actions :

      * Make a minor change in the workflow, and activate the new version of the workflow

      * Full compile and CIL and AOS restart.

Thank you!

Are you talking about disabling or enabling possible outcomes for a workflow approval when the workflow has already created the work items and assigned them to the users?

No.  Let's say I disable the 'Reject' outcome for my approval via the AOT, it will keep showing up even with brand new work items.

    Thank you, Iulian.

OK.  My bad.   I think I understand it now.

If you disable an 'outcome' for an approval in the AOT, you also have to go in your workflow design > Right click your approval element > Advanced parameters > Uncheck the box for the Action you wish to disable.

I imagine the principle is the same when you enable an approval which used to be disabled.
