Applying notes on multiple records

Does anyone know of a way to add a note to multiple contact records at one time?  We currently use the Pareto System on the CRM platform and while pareto is working on this question, I thought I'd pick the brains of fellow users to see if you had insight that they do not.

There's no way you can add a note to multiple contacts at once using OOB functionality in CRM. You will have to develop a custom form using ASP.NET and use SDK to append notes to the selected contacts. Although, to the user it appears as though a single note is created in CRM, but this actually creates one note per customer. You cannot directly link a single note to multiple records (no 1:M between Notes and records).

This is some information about how to add notes automatically using the REST web service.
