Merge queues

Hi Guys:

Im new here, recently my company changed our customer support platform to MS CRM4.0, quite a lot options compare with our old system.

Get slowly working on this one, i had a question can someone help me out.

Q: How to merge duplicated Queues in one?

    Hi Johnny,

    duplicate means queue having same items/queue with same name.

    In either case , you can write a batch job/console app that connects to CRM and runs the logic to delete queue's

    ps: i am not sure batch jobs are available in 4.0 because i have not worked on that version

    Hi Johnny

    Since you are using MS CRM 4.0, merge option is only available for Account, Contact & Leads.

    Merge feature can be enabled by enabling duplicate detection on few entities by going to settings>>Entity>>Account>>Check Mark-Duplicate Detection.

    But its not available for queues even in the latest version Dynamics 365 and CRM 2016

    Unfortunately, you will have to manually move the queue items and members from one queue to other and then delete the queues or else you can create a custom plugin for the same.
