Inventory recalculation

Hello AX community,

I have a question based on inventory recalculation.

I have performed the inventory recalculation for all items on 31/12/18. Afterwards I re- run the inventory calculation on 15/12/2019 for only one selected item. This actions reverses me the whole previous recalculation for all the items, while I expect it to happen only for the selected item. Why does this happen?

    Hi Ermal,

    To be clear, you really entered the date in the future (December 2019) or is this a typo?

    When the system needs to reverse one settlement, this can have effect on other items if e.g. the Bill of Materials is used. Also to ensure integrity, the complete calculation will be reversed.

    Hi Ermal Curri,

    That is what I would expect the system to do. If you don't want the reversal then you need to run the inventory close, which closes inventory issues and receipts for subsequent inventory closes and revaluations.
