How does Manufacturing Industry use Production BOM in Navision 2018?

Hi community,

I'm trying to set up a Production BOM in Navision for a manufacturing company.

May I ask what are the things to look out for when setting up the production BOM for Manufacturing Industry in Navision 2018?

I have received  suggestions here on  how to start Production BOM here (   )

Now I hope to know if there is any difference for Manufacturing industry standards.

    Josh,

    Wow we can talk for hours. So many questions... What Discrete or Process manufacturing? Parallel or Serial routings? How are components picked? Do you link components to Routing Steps? Do you have scrap or plan for scrap? After you do setup a Production BOM and related routing make sure you roll-up your manufactured item. I sent you the manuals on Production BOM and Routings and that will help.  If you want to get more I can send you my Summit session on Basic Manufacturing for newbies.
