Remove Session Host from web client session central

We had some issues with a session host and just ended up creating a new one to resolve our issues. However the web client session central still thinks that the session host exists. It was easy enough to set the isactive field in the SessionHost table to 0 and it doesn't try to communicate with the session host and the errors stop popping up on the session central server.

Which is fine except the inactive session host still shows up in the web management console (it's grayed out with an X in it, but it's there even though it will never be used and will likely annoy clients). Is it as simple as just removing the record from the SessionHost table? Or is it more involved to remove it? Is there something that is available that I've missed?

Thanks!

Let me clarify: this does not have to do with user's sessions. This has to do with the actual session hosts. See screenshot below:

The session host still displays even though I have it set as inactive. I will never use this session host again. Is there a supported way to make it go away? Is it as simple as removing the record from the SessionHost table?

Oh okay, we are clear now.

Well, I am not sure whether removing that from the db will get you settled, although, it is worth testing on a test environment. According to the documentation, if you want to remove a session host, you get it suspended as illustrated below:

I believe suspending the session host is the same as setting the IsActive field to 0 in the database which I have already done. Meaning it does not create new sessions however still shows up.

I want it removed from the web management console entirely so the session central service doesn't know it ever existed.

Well, since I can't really find anything from Microsoft I just ended up backing up the databases, deleting the Session Host record, and restarting the services. Seems to be running as expected.

    Mitch,

I have tested the same scenario on the a testing environment, results seems satisfying.

Just to add up a piece of information as well, the record should be deleted from two tables; [SessionStatus] and [SessionHostStatus]
