Payment schedule - Shipping function

Hi Expert,
I noticed that the payment shedule line has a shipping tick. What's this function?
 
Now I get the requirement to split the payment before shipping, is that the relavent function?

    Hi,
     
    As per my understanding  this indication is just a flag where you are marking that which schedule will have actual Shipping of goods.
     
    You can only mark the one line here as shipping
