Moving to Dynamics 365...will I need to upgrade some of my solutions?

Hello,

I am currently on CRM 2016 and plan on moving to Dynamics 365 by mid next year.  I have the following solutions that I have imported into my 2016 environment and am wondering if they will still work in the 365 environment or if I have to get them upgraded somehow.

Here they are:

DependentOptionSetGenerator v1.0.0.1

AGUtilities v1.3.2.1

CustomCodeValidationToolForMicrosoftDynamicsCRM201 v1.0.0.3

ReportcontrolforDashboard v1

Thank you in advance for anything insight you can provide.

    Hi USA80,

These solutions should still work, but may require some modifications. I would need to look inside the solutions to determine any issues.

I recommend contacting a Microsoft Dynamics Partner to help you with your upgrade.

    Hi,

It is always recommended to keep the updated version on your system. So even after upgrade any of these works, you should upgrade it to latest version if exists. I believe out of these, only Dependent OptionSet Generator has the upgraded versions, rest all seems discontinued.

    1) Dependent OptionSet Generator: Download & install latest version - crmoptionsets.azurewebsites.net

    2) AGUtilities: There doesn't seem to be any updated version so its better you replace this with some other utility. Try Dynamics 365 Workflow tools: github.com/.../Dynamics-365-Workflow-Tools

    3) Custom Code Validation tool you will not need so you can ignore as this was initialy used to find the unsupported scripts in the system. This is not required from CRM 2016 to D365.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

Sorry but I am not aware of ReportcontrolforDashboard :( but as with the other tools, you need to check if you have upgraded version for the tool, if yes, then use that otherwise check post upgrade if it it still works then all good. If it doesn't work then I guess you don't have any choice but unregister this.

    Hope this helps
