Activities Created on Lead not Associating to Opportunity upon qualification

When we 'Qualify' a Lead to an Opportunity, activities from the Lead would associate to the opportunity and appear in the Timeline of the opportunity. This was working last week - this week we have identified they are no longer associating to the opportunity.
Does anyone else have this issue, or can explain what has changed?

This issue typically occurs due to one of the following reasons:
    1. Customization or Plugin Changes: A recent update to a plugin or workflow (e.g., during lead qualification) may have altered the behavior, preventing activities from being reassociated with the opportunity.
    2. Lead Qualification Settings: In Advanced Settings > Administration > System Settings > Sales, there's a setting:
"When a lead is qualified, create" — ensure "Opportunity" is selected, and check if there's any change to activity reassignment behavior (though not directly configurable in UI, this can be impacted by custom code or system updates).
    3. Security Roles: Confirm if users qualifying leads still have permissions (e.g., Append To and Assign on activities and opportunity entities). Lack of these can silently block reassociation.

If activities are not copying over, consider using a Power Automate flow or plugin to manually associate open activities to the newly created Opportunity upon Lead qualification.

I have followed your suggestion and navigated to Advanced Settings > Administration - System Settings, however am unable to locate where the config "When a lead is qualified, create" — ensure "Opportunity" is selected, and check if there's any change to activity reassignment behavior.

See attached screenshot - where should this config display?

    Thanks, Sharyn

Thank you @Muhammad Shahzad Shafique - I had to revert back to the old version - the new settings does not have this access.

To note, the setting was enabled. We will continue to review.

I think we have the same issue. A few weeks ago activities were transfered on the opportunity when qualifying the lead. Now the activities remain on the qualified (closed) lead.

Does anyone have a solution for this? Does it have something to do with the new experience? Instead of the transferred activities, I have this AI summarization.

@Muhammad Shahzad Shafique, your solutions is to revert it to the legacy qualification? Is there a solution also without returning? Actually, I like the new functionality of letting the user choose. Depending on the creation of a new opportunity, the activities should be reassigned. That's what I expected from the new experience.
