Custom insight cards under Relationship Assistant

Hello folks,

I have embedded intelligence enabled but not Sales AI because of the extensive list of permissions (and potential privacy issues) requested when enabling Sales AI features. Yet when I am creating a custom card under Relationship Assistant using Sales Insights connector in Flow, I am asked to give exact same permissions. This has become a blocking issue for us because though we need custom cards we don't want to give those permissions (eg read calendar, read emails, etc).

Don't you guys think it's weird that those permissions are requested for creating a custom card?

Regards

Yogesh

    Hi partner,

    Please read this document:

    Hi Hao,

I am aware the consent is required. My question is why would it need this consent when creating a custom card using Flow, but not when using one of the existing cards?

Besides the permissions list is exactly same as permissions list for Sales AI, phase see screenshot. Makes me think Microsoft is erroneously asking for these permissions when Relationship Assistant (this is not Sales AI) cards are being created.

Am I the only one who thinks this is flawed?

    Hi Yogesh,

You are right that the custom insights feature does not require these privileges

Starting with the 2019 wave2 we ship the flow based extensibility features of the assistant, known as Studio, as a part of the Sales Insights package. To enable any of the Sales Insights features you have to download the SI package that requires the consent you have shown here. Taking this consent at one time allows us to build a better experience in enabling any of the SI features. We could have gone the other route of doing different things per feature but chose this one to build a simpler experience overall.

That said we are always looking for feedback and if we see this as a common pain point we will definitely address it.

Note: Sales Insights features require the Sales Insights license.

    Thanks Allen for the information.

For now we have decided to fully about the Sales insights

    Hi,

I guess there is a typo here. If you mean this is blocking your adoption do reach out to me over email with more details about what is your use case and I will share it with our product management team.
