Hi Team,
I have two customers for which I want to assign same (single) OneNote book to both as they are same customer but have two different names and branches due to legal reasons.
-
JK1 & Co. (Head Office)
-
JK2 (Sydney Office)
What’s working?
I went into dynamics records of accounts and under “documents” edit the location of folders in customer record from JK1 – co_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX to JK_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX and JK2XXXXXXXXXX to JK_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
I got a message that a new folder JK_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX will be created on sharepoint and will be linked to these two records.
Then I copied the JK1 – Co OneNote file in share point from folder JK1 – Co_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX to JK_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
With these changes in place;
-
Both records document are now referring to a “Single” OneNote book which can be updated from both accounts - Perfect!
-
Using mobile app (iphone, ipad) under “document” section the OneNote book can be reached and updated without any problem for both customers - perfect!
What’s not working?
What is not working is onenote "hyperlink" on customer landing page.
When I go to JK1 & Co record (I copied the file from JK1 & Co folder to JK_XXX (common flder), I see the Onenote link and clicking it take me to same document I can reach via “Documents” on web portal or on mobile devices.
However, If I go to JK2 one note section, I am getting this message.
On further investigation, if I change the share point file name from JK1-Co- to JK2, it will change the situation, now JK1 & Co would not work but JK2 will.
How can I get rid of this error and be able to see the ONENOTE Link for both accounts?
Your inputs and feedback would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Irfan
