FA Posting Type Doesn't Exist

Hi,

i am user of Microsoft Dynamics NAV Business Central Cloud base.

Im currently facing error when trying to run "Calculate Depreciation", it said that "FA posting Type Setup, doesn't Exist".

When I checked on Depreciation book, surprisingly it was empty, "nothing to show".

it is supposed to be generated by system automatically when we create Depreciation Book (i have tested to create new depreciation book, and the "FA Posting Setup did exist".

the thing is, I have posted acquition cost and book value for previous year (by upload), thus I can't delete this "abnormal depreciation book".

please help how to solve this issue without reversing my FA ledger entries.

How to make "FA Posting Type setup" get existed??

it seemed like, because I used Configuration Package in importing my data to new company (include the Depreciation Book), so i thought system didnt validate and generate this function automatically. like, when I import "get standard Journal that has been filled with Dimensions, it wont appear until I re-filled the field manually. and when I imported Fixed asset to FA Card, the Depreciation Ending Date wont calculate automatically until I filled no. of Depr. days field manually.

please help me

Since you are familiar with using the Configuration Package, create one for 'FA Posting Type Setup (5604)" from the origin company and move into the destination. Then try your update.

Create a new Depreciation Book which will create the FA Posting Type Setup for that book.

Create the configuration package, export it to excel. Change the Depreciation Book value from the new book to the empty book.

    Import the excel, apply.

    Remove the new book.
