Hi,

I need to see if any object that exist in NAV2016 database is not being used at all. I think I could utilize the table Object Metadata, but I do not understand how to see if particular object is being used at all.
Lets say that an object of type=Page ID 50001 exist in the database. How can I check if that object (Page ID 50001) is being used by any user?

Thank you
BR Damjan

    Hii Everyone,

As per the description to find the object is used or not. In business central there is a specific functionality of “All Objects With Caption”. In which you can found all the objects along with data, extensions.

You can find using this. This is for Business central. (in NAV I have no idea).

    Thank You.

What do you mean with: 'used by any user'? If you want to know if users have used the page, setting up telemetry would answer that. If someone is currently, at this exact moment, using the page, there's no way to know. If the object is referenced by another object, is a question Prism for AL can answer.

Another option would be to remove permissions for users to see the page, and see if anyone complains, that he cannot see/do something :)
But basically - there should be someone who is counted as Product Owner and would understand the customizations done to the system , for what business reason or what technical reason they have been created and if they are using it.
if everything is done through partner, then they should be able to assist You to understand what this page shows.

Other option is as Steven already mentioned, use Telemetry, and after a while You will see which objects have been used. Of course, if something is used only once a year, this might not me accurate.
