If the server on which your website is hosted can communicate with the MS CRM server then yes, you can call the webservice.

Assuming you are talking about onpremise deployment, If your CRM application is available in extra net then you can do that for example, you have configured IFD or opened port of CRM applicaiton (Not recommended).

    Thanks

    Hello Vikas,

MSCRM is on premise on a separate server.

and the website is hosted on a public server.

Then the best way is to create a new web service which will read data from your local CRM server (only the data that you need for security purpose. You can also add password to access methods of this web service) and host that web service on a server which is available over the internet. Then call this service from your public website.

    Hi,

You need to configure Internet Facing Deployment. Check following link

    www.interactivewebs.com/.../how-to-set-up-microsoft-crm-2016-ifd-on-windows-2012-r2-server

    technet.microsoft.com/.../gg188602.aspx

    Hello Vikas Saxena,

If i create separate service then is it possible to connect to organizationservice from that service.

or do i need to do ifd and then try it.

because in both cases either service or site are hosted on the internet.

I will give you an example of what we did. We had a CRM implementation in the intranet of one of our client and there was also a self service portal which was exposed to the public. Both the servers were in the same domain so I was able to access CRM services. Now if you host a separate server on the internet with it being in the same domain as your CRM server, you can develop a web service which will act as a bridge between both CRM and the website.

    Hello Vikas,

"self service portal which was exposed to the public."

how it was done, can you elaborate this little more?.

The portal was hosted as a website on a server in the same domain but was accessible over the internet same as your website. The only difference is, it was an in house server of our client.
