Create a Modal in CRM

Hello good afternoon.

What would be the steps to follow to make a floating window (modal) when making an action within an entity form.

Thanks in advance I'm relatively new using CRM.

    First, you need to decide what action you want to occur before the window appears. You can display the window using the methods in this forum topic.

    Hi Angel,

    Modal windows as previously available have been deprecated.

    The new way to open a Modal window is using the Xrm.Navigation.openWebResource method. See link below.

    Hi,
     
    It is not possible (supported way) to create a custom floating Window in CRM/D365. There is another option which looks like a Model Popup. If you have a Business Process Flow, then you can place a button to call your custom action. The window will look like a model pop up.
     
    Your input parameters to a custom action will present to you like a pop-up window.
