Defaulting Both the Header and Line Financial Dimensions

Our team as successfully populated the Item master with the default FD's and they successfully populate both SO's and PO's.  The issue is how do we do the same for header level on SO's and PO's?

    Hi TheStig,

    The PO and SO Header financial dimensions are inherited from the vendor or customer records.

    What do you want to have defaulted there?

    I would like to have the most probable default values populate the dimensions thus removing user subjectivity in the manual selection process.  It seems to me that relying on users to make the right decision from drop-down fields will result in incorrect selections.  Looking for a way to bulk upload the population of those finial dimension fields.  Additionally, do the line view items financial dimension values supersede the header values in finacial reporting from the finacial dimensions?  Thank you

    Hi TheStig,

    Before trying to upload the financial dimensions fields check the standard possibilities for inheriting financial dimensions. You have the customer, the item, the site and the leder account that can be setup with default (or fixed) financial dimension values to avoid manual selections. Isn't this sufficient? What specific requirement do you have that cannot be fulfilled with the standard defaulting financial dimension features?
