Not able to view column name in sort by in crm configure sorting view property

Hi all,

I have one view which was existing view. but now i have added two columns like created on and one another column name. now i want to sort the view by created on .bit i cant see the created on field in sort by list. this is in dynamics 365 model driven app.

Hi,

Please make sure Created On column is added in the view.

You can only sort on the columns added in the view.

If this is correct, as suggested by Mehdi, share a screenshot of view configuration for reference.

Hi ,

sorry i am not able to attatch ss .in short i can only see the columns which are there in views. if i add new column in view i cant see those columns in sorting list.

Yes, as Wahaj said, you can only sort by the columuns added to the view.

Hi Mona,

It's hard to assist without knowing your configuration.

You can do PrtScrn or use Windows Snipping tool to capture an image, and then simply paste it here.

Anyhow, let me give you steps:

Open the view for editing.

Click on Add Columns.

Choose the column (check) and click on OK.

Now click on Configure Sorting and choose the column as per your needs.

Save the view.

Please note, if the column is not added in the view, you cannot sort on it.

Hi,

It does not matter if it is a new or existing field, the default behavior of the systems requires the column to be added in the view as a column and then apply sorting it.

I would suggest, to follow the steps I provided and test it yourself.
