Client is getting an access right error when she tries to use the Quick Print button on the AR Invoice/Memo screen (08.010.00). I’ve duplicated the error here, but can’t seem to find the right combination to grant the rights. She has rights to both 08.760.00 and 08.765.00. Logging in as SYSADMIN, the invoice prints as expected. Any Help?
Version is SL2011SP2
I’d check access rights maintenance and see if the user has rights to 0876Q00. Adding screen to the user rights access solved it for me.
Stuart, Did you ever figure this out?
Hi Stuart,
What was the exact error message?
Jeff
That's not it, Jeff. She's able to enter, edit, and save invoices and release the batch. It's only the QuickPrint that fails.
Hi there,
The problem is likely to be that the client only has view access (aka read only) which prevents the user from printing.
Under Access Rights Maintenance (screen 95.270.00):
1. Group/User ID field: Enter user or group
2. Company ID field: Enter company
3. Screen/Report/Query tab
a) Screen/Report Number column: Enter 08.010.00 - This will pre populate Type, Name and Module fields.
b) You will probably notice that "View" is checked whilst "Update", "Insert", "Delete" and "Initialisation Mode" is unchecked. Check all of these fields so that the client has full functionality of the Invoice Memo Scren 08.010.00.
That should hopefully work. I had exactly the same problem as you and this sorted it out. Happy to email you an image of what I am talking about if you don't understand my steps. Just message me an email address I can send it to. The uploader can only take a file size of 64KB!
Cheers.
Jeff
A bit more: I've added the 08.760.10 process to the access rights for my test user. Still no joy.
A couple of things I neglected to mention earlier:
1. client was able to do this in version 7 prior to upgrade. SL2011SP2 unable to do so.
2. using SQL authentication.
Santhosh, the user has access rights to the printer. It's only when logged in as herself that she can't use the QuickPrint. If she logs in as SYSADMIN, QuickPrint works for the invoice.
Same condition/situation here in my test environment.

Hi
If the ROI - 08.760.00 has proper access then please check the shared/ network printer access for that user.
Thanks
