Can not tab, backspace or delete in text entry box

We have a number of users that are experiencing an intermittent issue and I have not been able to pin down the cause. When the user is entering a batch of checks, on the select payables checks screen they are unable to tab, backspace or delete from that box. The use of these keys results in a weird, ascii looking rectangle to appear in the box. Exiting their session and coming back in seems to resolve the issue, but it is becoming more and more of a nuisance for them to stop everything they are doing and start over. The issue first occured after we recently upgraded from DGP v9.0 to DGP 10.0. I've uploaded a screen shot demonstrating what happens here: [img]http://i41.tinypic.com/fvb78g.jpg[/img]

    John, I've never seen this behavior but are you on service pack 3 for GP10?  If not, perhaps updating to SP3 would resolve the issue.

    Do you have a forms dictionary? If so, try editing the path within the DYNAMICS.SET file to point it to a location where there is no forms dictionary. Return to GP and try the editing the batch ID field. If you end up with no issues, it means you need to recreate your forms dictionary.

    In fact, did you perform the upgrade of your forms dictionary during the upgrade process?

    We had a consultant perform the upgrade for us. I believe he did convert the forms dictionary as part of the upgrade. He seems to believe the issue is related to DGP being run via Citrix, however we never had the problem when running DGP9 via citrix, only after the DGP 10 upgrade.

    I have a good number of customers running v10 on Citrix with no issues. What build number of GP are you running? Can you try what I suggested initially?

    We are currently running 10.00.1301. I will try your suggestion the next time this issue occurs. It's very intermittent and I can't find anything to trigger it, so unfortunately it looks like I'm going to have to wait for it to reappear before trying your solution. I do appreciate the suggestion and will be sure to update with the results once I'm able to test it.

    Did you ever find the cause or resolution to this problem?  I have a user that seems to be having the same issue.

    I have shown the problem to a Microsoft and they have opened a Bug case on it.  It currently occurs in version 10 and 2010 for sure.  If you look at the windows the user has open, you most likely will find a print box open asking for number of copies.  It seems that this window being open and not the selected window causes this issue.
