Hello All,
I am trying to add financial dimension values other than main account (for eg: department). I can able to achieve this using the following links,
https://community.dynamics.com/365/financeandoperations/b/ievgensaxblog/posts/ax-7-how-to-add-financial-dimensions-as-separate-columns-to-data-entity
https://blog.armaninollp.com/dynamics/2018/09/04/how-to-manually-add-financial-dimension-mapping-to-the-excel-journal-entry-import-template/
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/financial/add-dimensions-excel-templates
However I have to add the fields as explained in the second link. However I would like to add the field by default when opening the excel like main account without changing the design in excel.
Is it possible to achieve the same using code? If yes please guide me what I have to do.
Thanks
Hi Wekey,
You can change the template of the GL excel.
1. Download the template.
2.Edit the template as your second linkage.
3.Upload the template with the same name and click yes to replace original template.
4.Go to GL to check the result.
Or use the code to add a new template: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/user-interface/add-templates-open-lines-excel-menu
Please let us know if you have any other question.
