Hi everybody,

Can we use Cases for custom entities?

I created a 1->n relation between the custom entity and the case, but  the case entity has a required field named customer, that could not be removed, how could I fix this problem?

I'm using Dynamics 9.0.24.8 on-premises, And I'm doing this on a custom entity.

Regards

Zeinab

    Hello Zeinab,

I'm afraid customerid is a platform-required field and you won't be able to save the case without populating it. I would say - create a dummy account or contact and populate customerid with that dummy record.

a33ik has rightly pointed that Customer field is system required.

However, what you can do is by using JavaScript, you can set default value of Customer field.
