I have created custom entities. I have set it in Sales. So, user can open it and use it. Ex. I have created new entity Purchase Order & Purchase Order Invoice. It shows default icon(Green) of CRM.

I want to change that icon and set my icon. Can anybody suggest me how to change the icon of Entity? Please review following screenshot

    Hi,
Have a question on this subject - how do I add an icon, that will appear aside a custom entity record, when I run a Global Search. No one of the icons above doesn't work when it comes to a global search.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Below are the steps:

    1. Go to Settings > Customizations.

    2. Click Customize the System.

    3. Go the respective Entity, then on command you can see option to Update Icons.

Guido has nailed it above, however you may also want to look at the update to the Power Objects blog that discusses the best practice for designing icons for CRM 2016:

It's probably also worth pointing out that if you use the SiteMap Editor within the XRM Toolbox you can change the title of your Group "Extensions" to be called "Purchase Orders" or whatever else would be suitable for you.

Finally, you can also change the background colour of the entity icon tiles if you need a different colour than the default green:
