Year end Closed but need to do an entry what is the best way

Hi,
 
I closed my year 2024. I did the year end closing in D365.
 
Now we want to do an extra entry in 2024 what is the best way?
 
Should i reverse my year end? then do the entry and Closed it again?
 
Or do the entry and close 2024?
 
What is the bets step

    Pick your option - any of the steps you propose will create the same result.  It depends on how much data you want left behind.  Reversing the close will create a reversing journal that could be important if you need the audit trail.  Posting the journal and then re-closing the year won't leave that trace.

    We can not name as a "best way" but a way to do business.
    Depending your legal and reporting needs, you may delete your year end and re run or run for the difference.
    For example, in Turkey, we can only have one closing voucher legally.
