Manual sales invoice creation in project Management

Dear Members,

I attempted to create a sales invoice manually and include the Project Number and Project Task Number in the line items for direct integration into the project planning lines. However, I was unable to insert any information into those fields. In contrast, I was able to successfully input the data through project journals. My question is whether it is possible to create a manual invoice that can be integrated into the project planning lines. I would appreciate your guidance on this matter.

Hi Sneha,

For manual creation of Sales Invoice for Project you need select data from Get Project Planning lines as below . By default Project Number and Project Task No. are not editable by Microsoft and I believe this is correct.

You need to Select line-> function-> Get Project Planning Line. Please refer below screen short.
Also System only allow to create you Sales Invoice line for Project Line type : Billable or Both Budget and Billable And Project Task Type : Posting
If you want both filed editable then Make it editable through AL Extension.

You cannot manually create sales invoices directly linked to a project. Instead, you can either:

Generate the invoice automatically from the project itself, or

Create the invoice manually and use the 'Get Project Planning Lines' function to tie the lines to the project.
